Privacy Policy

1. Upo Bot

Upo Bot stores only:

• your Discord user ID; and
• how many times you used each of its four commands.

Image conversion (/gif)

When you submit a PNG, JPG/JPEG, or WEBP image, the Bot loads it into the server’s RAM, converts it to a GIF, sends the result through Discord, and then releases the image from memory. The submitted image is not intentionally saved to persistent storage.

Other commands (/cat, /avatar, /info)

/cat sends a random cat image already stored on the server and has no arguments. /avatar and /info retrieve profile or account information directly from Discord when the command is used. This displayed information is not added to the Bot’s persistent database.

2. Upo Giveaway

To create and manage giveaways, the Bot may store:

• Discord server and channel IDs;
• server settings, such as the selected language;
• giveaway settings and status;
• Discord user IDs needed to manage entries and winners;
• message counts from the start of a giveaway, only when a giveaway uses a message-count requirement; and
• qualifying invite counts from the start of a giveaway, only when a giveaway uses an invite-count requirement.

The Bot does not intentionally store the content of messages for the message-count feature.

Account age, time spent in a server, required roles, and server boost status are retrieved from Discord and checked temporarily when needed. These details are not intentionally saved to persistent storage solely for the eligibility check.

The Bot automatically checks requirements and selects or rerolls winners according to the giveaway settings chosen by the server’s administrators. These actions do not produce legal or similarly significant effects outside the giveaway.

3. Why information is processed

Information is processed only to provide the requested Bot features, manage giveaways, maintain basic command-use statistics, prevent abuse, and diagnose technical problems.

Where the GDPR applies, this processing is based mainly on our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the Bots and on providing functionality requested by users or server administrators. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.

4. How long information is kept

• Images submitted to Upo Bot: kept in RAM only while they are being converted.
• Upo Bot user IDs and command counters: kept while needed for the Bot’s usage statistics, until a valid deletion request is completed, or until the service is discontinued.
• Temporary giveaway eligibility data: message counts, invite counts, and related user data are deleted within 24 hours after the giveaway ends. This period allows a winner to be rerolled.
• Server settings: kept while needed to provide Upo Giveaway on that server or until a valid deletion request is completed.

5. Services used

The Bots obtain information through Discord and run on infrastructure provided by Oracle Cloud. Discord and Oracle may process technical data under their own privacy policies. This page is hosted through GitHub Pages, which may log visitors’ IP addresses for security purposes. Personal data may also be disclosed when required by law.

6. Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, or object to certain processing. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

For privacy requests, the preferred contact methods are Discord ejten or the Upo Team support server. You may also email contact@ejten.xyz, but email is checked less frequently and responses may take longer. Include the relevant Bot name, your Discord user ID, and the server ID where relevant. We may request reasonable proof that the Discord account belongs to you. Never send your password or Discord token.

Providing the information used by the Bots is not required by law, but the relevant feature may not work without the Discord IDs and other information necessary to perform it.

7. Changes and contact

We may update this Policy when the Bots or their data practices change. The date at the top will show the latest revision.
